Coffee is more than a morning ritual — it is a craft shaped by origin, roast and brewing method. In this article we look at what makes a cup memorable and how small changes in grind size, water temperature and ratio change the flavor in your cup.
Start with fresh beans
Whole beans keep their aroma far longer than ground coffee. Buy small amounts, store them in an airtight container away from light, and grind just before brewing.
Mind the water
Use filtered water heated to 92–96 °C. Too hot and the coffee turns bitter; too cool and it tastes sour and thin.
Find your ratio
A good starting point is 1:16 — one gram of coffee for every sixteen grams of water. Adjust to taste from there.
Experiment, take notes, and enjoy the journey from bean to brew.
